Sugar-Free Christmas Recipes

Over the next week or so we’re going to be out and about eating all sorts of tasty treats as we celebrate the holidays with family and friends. Of course, that also means many of us may be in danger of eating way too much sugar and damaging our beautiful holiday smiles. Thankfully there are plenty of delicious, sugar-free options out there to enjoy, so consider some of the following recipes when preparing food for family and loved ones.

Anytime Eggnog – No holiday party is complete without everyone’s favorite Christmas beverage. By replacing the sugar in traditional eggnog recipes with Splenda you get a sweet alternative that is much healthier for your teeth.

Sugar Free Gingerbread Men – The only downside to this recipe is that it doesn’t recommend a specific sugar substitute, but you can also take that as an opportunity to be creative and use whatever you prefer. Those spicy yet sweet little men will still be delicious no matter how you prepare them.

Homemade Peanut Butter Cups – This is another recipe that uses honey instead of sugar, but when it comes to peanut butter cups how can we say no?

Sugar Free Gelatin Squares and Chocolate Pretzels – Here’s a two for one set of recipes that provides the instructions on how to make something salty and something sweet. There’s no added sugar whatsoever in either recipe, so feel free to indulge!

As you can see it’s possible to still eat all your favorite holiday treats without sacrificing your smile. Not only will your teeth thank you for preparing these dishes, your whole body will! From our office to your family we wish you a very happy (and mostly sugar-free) holiday season!
